"Time's Up" retitled to "end of the unsignaled turn"

"Time's Up" is all about photographic process. "The end of the unsignaled turn" is more about the narrative.

On further thought, I'm not so happy with the change in balance. Reduced cropping on the left and eliminated excess detail with burning-in instead.

  1. I love the text "the end of the unsignaled turn." I'm wondering if you really need the yellow glow around the letters - white or yellow against that dark background should create enough contrast, no? Are you emphasizing the text beyond what the composition needs? Just a question...

    1. I'm trying to deemphasize the text to prevent it from competing too much with the photo; so matched the text color with the center of the horizontal stripe, added a glow matching the edges of the stripe, and made the line of the text follow the slight bumps in the line. Should I drop the glow and change the text color to the color of the glow?

Any thoughts on the change of balance?
