week02-admired online portfolios

All three of my most admired portfolios have in common that the web design does not outshine the contents on display. No parallax scrolling or other distracting effects.

This is a photography portfolio, not a design portfolio, but it show a good sense of design. The home page is nothing but a striking landscape and a very clean graphic element with a clickable logo to get into the site. The logo itself is very spare and distinctive.

Once inside, the portfolio appears as a tiled design in which clicking on any of the photos gets you into a slider showing enlarged versions of the photos. There is also a menu that can also get you into a display of client work organized by client, and the About and Contact pages. I did not find a single pixel of clutter anywhere.

I’m not very fond of the black background, but the organization and navigation are very good.

Grid navigation organized by client project. Tidy, attractive, and functional.
