Menu project

I added all the peer reviewed adjustments, this one is hard to read as the lay out is on a template, and well it is complicated.

  1. Nicholas – this looks fascinating to me! Can’t wait to see the final all folded up! I think I understand it, sort of, and can see some details that you might want to attend to:

Cover (I think)– I think the logo could be enlarged just a tad, moved towards the center of the page just a bit, and…. white! The black is almost getting lost against all those lovely bright colors. White would create the contrast you need when using the logo that smallish size.

Although… maybe the cover is a white rectangle with an angled logo… now I’m not sure. But… I have to say… the triangle panel with all those colors and the logo… sure looks like a good cover solution to me.

Images – I see a unique approach to the photo cropping… where they often bleed off the page as well as get cut off by an edge of winding colors. This is very creative… so make sure you use that approach to all the images, not just some. The photo to the left of Seafood section should extend down to bump against that colored area.

Font kerning… you have either chosen a font for your subheadings that looks to be in bad need of kerning… or you have removed letter spacing intentionally to create really tight kerning. Not good – in my opinion. Readability is being sacrificed. You need to fix that by looking at them all either individually, or adding letter tracking to allow those letters to separate a bit. They should be a bir more inviting to read.

Not sure why I see an angled “All applicable copyrights belong to…”. What is that all about? You don’t need that. What else can you put on that panel? Restaurant contact info?

  2. Coni will do. I have the finished/printed/folded/glued/operational one for you to take a look in class, please. The line "copyright" is at the bottom the contact info would never be seen there, makes no difference, unless someone turns it over. Think there adding anything even the copyright is a moo point. LOL
