All three of my most
admired portfolios have in common that the web design does not
outshine the contents on display. No parallax scrolling or other
distracting effects.
This is a
photography portfolio, not a design portfolio, but it show a good
sense of design. The home page is nothing but a striking landscape
and a very clean graphic element with a clickable logo to get into
the site. The logo itself is very spare and distinctive.
Once inside, the
portfolio appears as a tiled design in which clicking on any of the
photos gets you into a slider showing enlarged versions of the
photos. There is also a menu that can also get you into a display of
client work organized by client, and the About and Contact pages. I
did not find a single pixel of clutter anywhere.
I’m not very fond
of the black background, but the organization and navigation are very
good.
